From 1 November 2007
Website design prices include:
Initial consultation(s), design and coding of website, first draft, second consultation, final draft, arrangement of domain name registration in your name for one domain name (if required), arrangement of hosting in your name (if required), and transfer of website (see below). Consultations may be in person or via telephone.
Website design prices DO NOT include:
Domain name registration fees and hosting fees. (See Domain Name Registration and Web Hosting for more details.)
Transfer of website:
If you have ordered hosting via Lucy Connelly Web Design, or you have previously paid for hosting and you can give me the username, password and ftp address of your webspace, I will transfer your website by uploading it to your webspace.
If you cannot give me the username, password or ftp address of your webspace, I will transfer your website onto disk or email it to you. You will then need to upload it to your webspace yourself.
Payment terms:
- A deposit of 10% of your total order is payable when you place the order.
- A further payment of 45% of your total order is payable on delivery of the first draft, which will be published to a subdirectory of www.lucy-connelly.co.uk for you to view and test. The first draft will be made available for a period of 3 months, during which time you should inform me of any changes you wish to make.
- When you are completely happy with the final result, the final payment of 45% of your total order will become due. Once this payment has been received, I will transfer your website (see above).
Ownership / copyright issues:
- It is the responsibility of the Client to ensure that any content (text, images, etc.) supplied by the Client to Lucy Connelly Web Design to incorporate in the Client's website is the copyright of the Client or copyright-free. This content will remain the copyright of the Client or copyright-free.
- Any content (text, images, etc.) supplied by Lucy Connelly Web Design to incorporate in the Client's website will be the copyright of Lucy Connelly Web Design or copyright-free. Any content which is the copyright of Lucy Connelly Web Design will remain the copyright of Lucy Connelly Web Design until the final invoice is paid, whereupon it will become the copyright of the Client.
- The "look-and-feel" (graphic design, etc.) of the website is created by Lucy Connelly Web Design according to the wishes of the Client. The "look-and-feel" will therefore remain the copyright of Lucy Connelly Web Design until the final invoice is paid, whereupon it will become the copyright of the Client.
- The "back end" (technical workings) of the website is the copyright of Lucy Connelly Web Design.
